Whether you’re brand new to skiing on wheels or already cruising like a pro\, this is your chance to build skills\, play games\, and celebrate ski season before the snow flies. Expect a mix of technique work\, fun games\, and community spirit\, plus plenty of smiles rolling around town. \n\n\n\nThis clinic is perfect for young skiers ages 9 and up who want to try rollerskiing or build on their skills. We’ll cover the basics\, like gliding\, stopping\, and turning\, through instruction\, games\, and agility activities. The clinic runs from 1:00–3:00 PM\, rollerskis will be available for participants to borrow.  Please be sure to bring your ski boots\, and bike helmet. Poles are optional. SUMMARY:Masters Fall Nordic Training Camp
DESCRIPTION:This is designed to be a fun\, casual weekend of Nordic training in western Maine! Enjoy the fall foliage\, some great company\, and get a jump on Nordic season. Plan on a long\, classic roller ski to a hike in Evans Notch on Saturday 10/4. Sunday morning\, 10/5\, will begin with a technique session with Ben Kamilewicz (Director of Nordic at Gould Academy). Then we will head to Sunday River River Ski Area for some ski walking/bounding/hiking. We will have a training talk Saturday with legendary coach\, Dick Taylor\, later in the day on Saturday (details TBD).  \n\n\n\n Participants must be NENSA members and are responsible for securing their own food and lodging. Maine West Project Play will provide van transportation to training sessions from a group meeting location in Bethel. We will also provide van support during our long roller ski.  \n\n\n\n This training camp is open to adult skiers. Teenage skiers are welcome to join with a parent. You don’t need to be an expert roller skier to enjoy this camp but some experience is necessary. If you are an experienced Nordic skier but are new to roller skiing\, we can work with that. DESCRIPTION:Masters Nordic Programming is designed for adult skiers who would like to get better at Nordic skiing. You don’t need to be an expert skier\, but this program isn’t designed for brand-new skiers. We focus specific sessions on skate or classic technique. We also hope to offer some days specifically as a ‘workout day’. Join us Monday mornings\, beginning 12/29/25\, at 8:30 am to dive deep into Nordic skiing! Location may vary from week to week (Pine Hill\, BVT\, etc). Updates will be sent out weekly. \n\n\n\nNENSA membership is required in order to be covered by our club liability insurance. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Wednesday nights beginning 1/7 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at Pine Hill for a community potluck and skiing under the lights. Come roast a marshmallow over the fire and enjoy some community ski games for all ages. Or get in a good ski under the lights. \n\n\n\nEquipment is available for those who need it – we have sizes for all ages. This is a community potluck.
