Wednesday Night Lights will provide an optional 4th day of practice. Race options include midweek and weekend Maine Junior Ski League races\, Non-Stop Nordic races\, Bill Koch League Fun Races\, and the Bill Koch Festival (3/1-3/2) for those who are interested. \n\n\n\nProgram fee is $150. Equipment provided by the Bethel Outing Club. Trail pass provided by Inland Woods and Trails for youth living in SAD 44\, SAD 17\, and RSU 10 areas. SUMMARY:Flying Moose Classic
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, February 9\, 2025\, the Bethel Outing Club\, Nonstop Nordic\, and NENSA proudly present the 34th Annual Flying Moose Classic Half-Marathon. Part of both the Zak Cup and NENSA Marathon Series\, this fun and exciting event starts at the Bethel Inn Resort and takes you through the rolling hills and forest lands of the Bethel Inn and Inland Woods and Trail’s Bethel Village Trails in Bethel\, Maine\, providing you with a wonderful scenic adventure. \n\n\n\nSkiers can select from either the 12.5KM or 25KM course\, and a 3 KM Sit Ski course. There is a 1KM kids race (grades K-5) that will take them over fun little obstacles and zig-zag pathways\, and a 3KM Middle School Race (grades 6-8). Kids race starts at 9:00 a.m. (mass start); Middle School starts at 9:30 a.m. (mass start);  12.5KM & 25KM races start at 10:00 a.m. (mass start).
